Sometimes certain pieces
just need a little special care to bring them back to their former
glory. Others almost need to be reconstructed. Stuart does both by
enthusiastically restoring antique and modern furniture back to there
former glory.
With an interest in preservation, not only in our natural resources
but in our furniture history. Stuart takes the time to listen to his
clients and try to meet their requests. Often it is an emotional experience
as restored pieces have often been in the family for generations,
and to see these treasured pieces fully restored is a rewarding experience
for both Stuart and the client. Stuart has restored a myriad of pieces
ranging from a head stone made from red box dating 1883 to a chests
of drawers from the 1860's. Veneers on singer sewing machine cabinets,
splits in table tops, and hundreds of broken chairs ,all have a history
and are now ready to go on for many years and generations to come.
New Pieces can also be matched to any existing furniture you may have.
